23:26 dooky Well, actually I think I broke it a few days ago but I just noticed now.

23:27 dooky That plastic piece that goes inside the USB plug had snapped off, and was wedged inside my scanner's USB plug.

23:29 dooky Fortunately I have a few more unused ports round the back of the computer. More of an immediate concern was prising the severed chunk of plastic out of the plug without wrecking that too.
