17:09 P-CUGG-David The new President of the Clemson Gaming Guild, showing up early for tonight's meeting.

20:03 B-NCSU-Mike Are you still there David?

20:03 P-CU-David I am. Patient as a stone.

20:04 B-NCSU-Mike Sorry, I had issues getting to a computer this evening. Has anyone else been through?

20:05 P-CU-David Not that I've seen.

20:06 P-CU-David What's on the agenda for tonight?

20:07 B-NCSU-Mike Well, I guess since it's the two of us, what to talk about is some what limited. I've tried to get all the presidents to be a little more involved, but I can see this time of the year being really busy

20:07 B-NCSU-Mike I'm glad that you showed up though; I had a hard time staying in touch with your chapter last year

20:08 P-CU-David Indeed. Due to some issues on my end, I didn't even notice the renewal / update form until earlier today and I still haven't gotten it to work correctly.

20:08 B-NCSU-Mike The agenda is "what do we want to do this year and how will we do it". Goals, ideas, possible ventures, etc.

20:09 B-NCSU-Mike Does your new presidency happen to come with some neat ideas for a national association by any chance?

20:10 P-CU-David Not many. I'm too busy trying to get people to organize some wargaming tournaments for TigerCon, our organization's annual Convention.

20:10 P-CU-David Those pesky local issues getting in the way, unfortunately.

20:11 B-NCSU-Mike I'll look into the form. Also, I'm detecting a delay, so bare with me in holding a conversation

20:12 B-NCSU-Mike Is there a website with information about TigerCon? I'd like to put it on our site, and as a more regional event, perhaps it would be neat to organize how our chapter (NCSU) can come down and participate/help

20:13 P-CU-David No active, dedicated site.

20:14 B-NCSU-Mike Do you have gmail?

20:14 P-CU-David We're in need of a webmaster as well. Too many years of two or three people running everything.

20:14 P-CU-David I do, yes.

20:14 B-NCSU-Mike Then I would definitely recommend "Google Sites". You can start a "site" with your gmail account (or an account you start for the club, which I'd recommend

20:15 B-NCSU-Mike You don't need to know code to edit it, it looks really professional, you can share and collaborate on documents with other people in your club,

20:15 B-NCSU-Mike and have a google calendar linked to it for all club events to be scheduled on

20:16 B-NCSU-Mike whats your email?

20:16 B-NCSU-Mike rather, send ------------------ an email

20:17 P-CU-David done

20:22 B-NCSU-Mike I replied. For the CATTG document stuff, I need to share them with another account, but I would strongly recommend you start a gmail account for the club, to make things easier

20:25 P-CU-David Which I have just done. Again, thanks for the information. This should help out a lot.

20:28 P-CU-David The idea of an organizational convention is a good one. But I've seen just how bad that can be to organize when you've got other stuff going on. Still, definately worth pursuing.

20:30 B-NCSU-Mike yeah

20:30 B-NCSU-Mike Not much has changed about planning a national convention

20:31 B-NCSU-Mike At this point, I think it would be much easier to organize something with an existing convention, like Gen-Con

20:32 B-NCSU-Mike I had organized how many of us could go for free, but there wasn't any interest :\

20:32 P-CU-David That might be true. At a minimum it's worth a look into. And the additional exposure of hooking into a larger, existing convetion is also a boon.

20:33 P-CU-David I'm sure there was interest, but I bet there wasn't the needed time and pre-planning ability. I know I was stuck in some mountains during Gen-Con this year.

20:35 B-NCSU-Mike Yeah, and transportation proved to be a big problem

20:35 B-NCSU-Mike So anyways, another things I'd really like to get off the ground is the philanthropy program

20:36 B-NCSU-Mike I can share all these documents with you as soon as I have that gmail account for your club

20:38 P-CU-David On its way.

20:40 B-NCSU-Mike so, howabout doing a clemson-ncsu thing?

20:43 P-CU-David It seems to have some merit. Unfortunately, I'm on the tail end of a lengthy and unpleasant day, so I'm not thinking very clearly. Mind hammering that idea out via e-mail?

20:44 B-NCSU-Mike will do

20:46 P-CU-David Right. Then have a good night, I'll reply as able.

20:47 B-NCSU-Mike Alright man, thanks for showing up. Go over those documents and let me know what you think about some of them. Take it easy!
